Statesman manual conversion

Was thinking of converting a VR Caprice to manual...has anyone done this before? I heard you need to customise the bell housing to suit the body shape..just after some advice before I go ahead with it.

Search around there r heaps atuo to manual threads, not sure bout statos though.
