Default Removing Harmonic Balancer of mate's '93 VR

Hey guys,

A mate of mine has had to replace the harmonic balancer in his VR. Now, he's got the stuffed one off, and the one he was giving by the wreckers was off a VS. He's put it on, and realised that it's just not right, and now it's stuck.

He wants to know how to remove it without damaging anything, and of which motor a harmonic balancer would suit his car. Just so the wreckers don't try and give him the wrong one again.

If you guys could help him, that would be great.

Well, he did mention maybe using a big eniough gear puller. I don't know if it's the same thing or not. But he's not sure if he can actually get one.

would one of a later model VP fit? Are they the same motor?! The guy at the wreckers gave him a series II VR one, and then the VS (the stuck one) when he went to change it.

The VPS2, and VR S1, and S2 should all be the same.
