my vs with a 1jz or 2jz motor.

in a month or 2 going for a tt supra/soarer motor.

i dont care which one really at all i just got a few questions.

1. the loom obviously, can i use the commodore loom throughout the car, get autoelec to change the connector over from the supra/soarer loom to suit that ecu, but still use my old commodore loom.

2. maybe i should just ring around? lol

just if anyones done something like this please let me know

I think u should really do ur homework on this conversion! Do u expect the Toyota loom to operate all ur body functions of the commodore?

i didnt say or think that. read wats in the post up the top. im just saying that some of the stuff could get adapted so i dont have to take my loom out thats connected. chances are its gonna get modified and chopped anyway

See if you can find someone who's done this conversion.
I imagine it would be a tight fit as the Toyotas have the turbos on the right side, close to brake booster, steering etc.
The Nissan, with turbo on the left and is the obvious choice.

jesus christ...people are chuckin a 1j in anything these days.
the other day i saw a hi-ace van with one dropped in it...and heaps of people seems to be putting them in hilux utes and stuff as well.
if your really keen to do it id say someone would have tryed it before and know what needs to be done (which i believe would be ALOT...not just the loom)...but do you really want to do that to a commy?

RB25DET bolts in fairly easy.
The VN front cross member was designed to hold the RB25DET, so it should fit in pretty damn easily as VN-VS engine bays are very similar.
