Just wondering if they are legal... coz i want green oneshahaha
also wondering how much it cost to get the globes...
thanks in advance![]()
i no in NSW they are illegal, i rang up RTA about it, but i kept mine in anway(if police pull me up ill change change back to the white LEDS i had in before), i got superbright green L.E.D's , look awesome at dusk/night especially cos my car's dark green![]()
nice, yer i thought that that green would look good with my gold hehe...
so how much did those globes set u back? can u remember?
my globes were $21 a set of 2, as they are super brights, double the brightness of standard leds which are like 10bucks for 2 from supercheap auto.m Makes a hell of a difference but, my whole light glows green, lol
hey mate if cops pull u up for it just tell them ur showing ur support for the aussies , green and gold,lol![]()
I got a set of blue inverted (the whole light glows, not just the globe) T10 LEDs for my parkers off ebay for $5.50. They're freakin' sweet!
Cops can still defect your car. Absolute best case scenario of putting them in will mean your car will become a cop magnet..
There's no point IMO..
Not only is ANY colour illegal (all states) Worst case scenario is Blue - they can do you for impersonating police.
do what ive done and keep your originals in the car so if a cop pulls you over, bang switcho chango and they can keep their pretty yellow sticker![]()

theres only one colour thats legal which is orange, they act as a clearance light or something
wouldnt white and yellow be legal as well??
but really, the rules (in WA at least) state that you cant have a red or blue light facing the front of the vehicle, or a white light facing the rear. Greens should be legal
wikid...seems like i should be sweet then![]()
Hold your horses lol
WA - ROAD TRAFFIC (VEHICLE STANDARDS) RULES 2002 - REG 78
(6) When on, a parking light must —
(a) show a white or yellow light visible 200 m from the front of the vehicle; and
(b) not use over 7 watts power.
I had green parkers in my green car for St Patricks day - looked so sweet - you just use the green sleeves from berlina/calais footwell globes. Easily found at autobarn and holden and cheap as chips. But illegal none the less.
my girlfriend got defected for having blue parkers, she didnt get anything about impersonating a police car though
yeh i asked a policeman once, and he said any different colour is illegal, but you would have to be unlucky to get booked for it.
Anyway i have green ones in my car, and they were $10 from autobarn and they look good, light up the whole headlights, had em on for a couple of months and nothings happened, driven past a few cop cars with just the parkers on and nothing happened.
i heard they couldnt be emergency vehicle colours [ red blue ] or traffic light colurs [ green amber ]
but i have no clue. i'll stick with stock
attn Über geeks, i play Second life. Patrio Graysmark.
My nephew had flashing parers Red/Blue The toss drove at night once flashing them got a car to pull out the way could have got his head smashed in.
I got a set of Red one's, And most of the time i don't drive with them because my area is cop land and i just can't be bothered getting pulled over for something that small.

Just keep in mind they can/will still fine you even if you swap them while pulled over![]()
i have white inverted LEDs in my parkers. they look purpl-ish when on, but they look good. i'll take a photo later
i have green ones on my vs they cost me $8. but unfortunaly was fined $100
fines?? can you get fines for parkers or is it a fine for driving an unroadworthy vehicle? im not sure but i dont think we get fined all the way over here in WA
I had green ones until i got done for not displaying p-plates properly, now i gotta drive within speed limit and a completely undefective car otherwise i can lose my license... just coz 1 of my p's was slightly covered by the sticker, i got 3 demerit points, got 1 left now!Originally Posted by clarkey3
