my cousin has a vs series 2 ute and it has making a noise between 80-90km/h, i havnt heard the noise but apparantly it is very prominent. has anyone had this problem or what are your suggestions...

I think I read somewhere about a diff whine in VS Holden utes being pretty common....do a GOOGLE on this subject.

are the bushes still firm?? the control arm and trailing arm can throw the driveshaft out of phase and put unecessary load on the pinion at a certain revolution per second

mine had the same noise. some diff bearing. but mines now got this rattle at low speeds sounds like the diff is stuffed but i dont do burnouts or tow any heavy loads so its go me stumped and it dosent feel in anyway sloppy or feel like its binding or locking up, still smooth as. ive had nolathane bushes put in and my pan hard rod got new rubbers two weeks ago. i think its the pads rattling against the rotor or something but if anyone has had this problem let us know. Its driving me absolutely nuts! mabey i need new diff oil???

mines got the same noise. have been told its the diff. try putting new diff oil in, should fix it
