Hey mate.

I also have the same exhaust kit with muffler and mine is very quiet as well, I think the reason being is the muffler, I am switching to a strait pipe this will make a hellof alot louder if thats what your looking for.

Did you buy the muffler as well or just the strait pipe?

Hmm... I deff know extractors will louden it as well but i'd just go for the strait pipe.

Cheers.

Hey Soyabean,

In relation to Turbo charging a VR, you will probably kiss away 20k to do it properly. There is no kit for a VR and you have to have the manifold made up custom. Two options that I would suggest are Stroking check out www.comeracing.com 7k (not including the cost of your driveline) will get you 220kw at the flywheel. Or www.capa.com.au for 5k and 7k superchargers (you will still have to upgrade the internals though)

snort performance do turbo kits for buicks, but AFAIK they are factory headers backwards, with a joining pipe.
If youwant louder exhaust, get a lukey

VS Commodore S V6 Manual
im looking to add a bigger exhaust (stock atm) to my car to improve top end flow as my ecotec seem pretty restricted at the top end, im not keen on the straight pipe at the end, has anyone tried a cannon at the back to provide a little muffling but not disturb flow (i had a cannon on my old car and the engine reved smoothly through the rev range)

any input would be greatly appreciated

hey guys , thanks for info , i suppose i'd might aswell fit headers now.
a strait through muffler sounds good but will it make that anoying drone that most strait through/non-resinated systems do?
and about the cannon i was thinking of fitting one but will the exhaust supports hold one up?

Hey Dude,

Got your email & im on every now and again will check again tonight.

You will get a pain in the ass drown if you put a strait through pipe through though only sitting on around 70 - 100 I spose.

You can also punch a hole through the cat or there is something to do to clear it out to make it louder.

My mates a mechanic and his vn has this done and it sounds nuts.

Its completly up to you, and how much you want to spend.

Cam work and extractors will make it louder as well, there are heaps of diff ways to go about it.

Cheers,

Matt
