Hey all,

My rear demister has stopped workin about 2 - 3 weeks ago and as i live in Canberra its really bad as i quite often need to use it before this happened it was only working on about two or three of the little bars. I think it might be the switch but does anyone have any ideas on what it might be?

Thanks in advance

Zach

Mine stopped working as well, light doesn't even come on, fuses seem ok.

the little bars can be broken quite easily whichstops all the bars working
have you checked the fuse? Does the switch lite up? if there alright check for power at the screen, be careful while working on the screen as the wires can break off easily

All my wires are attached, fuses seem ok, I'm puzzled why mine is not working.

probably a very small break in the heater element on the window..
have you got window tint?
if not, you can purchase kits from any good autoparts store that will be able to fix the break
its like a very fine metallic paint (conducts electricity) and you paint a very small amount over the break in the heater element

I never touched the rear windows, only to clean, but I wasn't rough. One day it worked then it stopped, I'm surprised the demister light didn't even come on.

I would be swapping the switch. Or maybe swapping the bulb in the switch. The bulb may have just blown or the switch itself may be faulty.

Is there an easy way to take off that bit of the dash?
