I have a 97 VS S2, and I am trying to work out if I have 2 O2 sensors, as there looks like there is one on each exhaust Manifold, (at the bottom,)
One points towards the engin( pasenger side) and the other points sideways away drivers side, so are these my O2 Sensors, ( it apears that there is 2 wires going into each sensor.
Cheers
I got told by a mechanic that there are 2 sensors.
There would be two, one for each cylinder bank.
2 wires to each sensor? it should be 4 wires to each sensor 4 a 97 SII

Can I borrow your stock exhaust for EPA?

VZ Berlina
It's either 3 or 4 wire.
One of the wires is a 12v positive - this is the heater wire.
Then a ground for the heater.
And another ground for the data line. (shared with heater ground on 3-wire O2's)
Then the data line. Which should range from 0-1Volt.
I can't remember the colours mind you...
2 Sensors for a V6 1 sensor for the V8
the o2 sensors come in 2 wire aswell but im pretty sure thats 4 earlier models

The VN's had a pair of non-heated O2 sensors. Probably VP and possibly VR's too.Originally Posted by SaGe
