throttle body cleaning

going to clean out my throttle body and searched a lot of posts, just woundering if there are any new gaskets or stuff i need to replace when doing this.

Are you removing the Throttle body, and if your Gasket is fine.. and not melted you can just put it right back on..

Clean the T/B with degreaser or Throttle Body cleaner.

thanx mate, yes i will be remoing the TB, and it is a VS, can i follow same instructions as in the how to section of cleaning the TB,

I suggest you change the gasket, when I put a V8 TB, the gasket looked good but was leaking soon as I started the engine. But still give it a shoot, its not hard removing the TB!!

I would replace the gaskets. From memory on my V6 there were 3. Holden charge about $0.50 each. Get them before you start, the few dollars may just save you problems down the track.

there are no gaskets, only rubber 'o' rings. they are fine to use many times over.

so... what is it. 'gasket' or 'o rings' remove or replace? which is it..?

then u have to be careful with the tps (throttle position sensor)

just buy some sealant called threebond it will do the job fine just give it 5 mins to set
