It depends on the Wheel...Small ones are illegal not sure of the size and sum full steel onse are illegal too as they dont bend or brake during a crash...if ur gettin one from Eg Autobarn, Super cheap they will be able to tell you if it is or isnt..for the insurance if it illegal ur insurance is voided if they find it....

if your car has an airbag [ being acclaim i'll put that down as yes ] then no you cant have an after market one, as for insurance, as always its just a case of letting them know and maybe throwing xamount more on your premium so its covered.

i think the limiting diametre is about 30cm, And it needs to be ADR approved, If it had a airbag fitted it must still have one. I told b\my insurance company and they didnt seam to care.

THere are aftermarket wheels around that are designed for VS with airbag - leather, colour coded options available. momo iirc. About $350+. You could get your existing wheel upholstered in leather - your choice of colour, for about $240. If fitted - the airbag MUST stay. No legal way around that.

heh i wouldnt mind putting a vz wheel on my mon airbag vs but apparently you cant put a bag wheel on a car not so equiped, even gay'er.

oh and my vs doesnt have airbags, kiss my neck goodbye in an accident

i believe the good quality ones are however if the wheel doesnt have an airbag in it, eg. racing wheels, your insurance will go through the roof.

heh, I'm lucky enough not to have an Air-bagged wheel!
Probably too expensive to muck around changing it tho.

Actually, you can replace with an aftermarket Wheel as long as if you have an Airbag (stock) you replace with an aftermarket Airbag wheel... I reccoment the MOMO ones.

Except for the big blue oval in the middle! On a VS you cant take out the air bag wheel and replace it with a non air bag one becuase it wasnt optional on VS. I reckon you should go for the VZ Hsv wheel, with the alloy bits on it, looks awsome! I dont think it fits stright on though because the steering colloms are different, so you might have to do a little more research. i also think you cant fit an air bag wheel to a car that doesnt already have one.

I think they were optional on the executives, as mine doesnt have one either, i ment that you couldnt option them with out it, for example on the Acclaim.

The only aftermarket wheels you can use are MOMO and Issotta as they are the only ADR approved wheels.
