    Post VR Acceleration claimed 9.3secs???

There is a claim that VR's do 9.3 seconds 0-100, this is not true I reckon, I haven't tested my car, but doesnt feel 9.3 seconds. I would like to see real figures from VR owners, please post if known what your car does 0-100 times.

9.3 secs doesnt sound right, especially my car with no airbag, irs, abs and only weighs 1.3T. I reckon the VR's are in the early 8's, but ofcourse the VN-VP is quicker.

Ye true VT's are slow, I guess the weight is letting it down, I reckon the VY's not bad but.

Check this thread in the VN-VP section, thanks for the real results greenfoam.
They are simulation times... Notice none of the cars on that list actually do those times in real life. Also the weight is wrong for the VR there as the weight is actually 1362kg for an exec model kerb weight.

I've seen a VR with a 2.5" cat back exhaust and 160k on the clock drag a stock as VP in shit condition with alot more k's and the VP beat it quite convincingly. Remember the VS Commodore does 0-100 in the high 8's... And thats with 147kw...

VR Executive V6 auto: 0-100km/h: 9.3s (from Wheels Sept 93)
    400m: 16.8s
    60-90km/h: 3.4s
    80-100km/h: 4.3s
    0-80km/h: 5.0s

Its the 80-100 time that hurts the VR's acceleration.
