Dear Guys,
I have a 96 vs lexcen, recently since i got my exhaust i have been flogging it a bit more. Anyway my problem is it is blowing large amounts of smoke and large fuel consumption. depending on how i drive its getting between 250 -300 ks to a tank. i have just replaced the coil packs because i was told this could be one of the issues im checking my plugs tonight. i have not lost much power actually with every new investment i have been gaining more power. what could be the problem i think it may be the tuning but i am unsure. any help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.
What colour is the smoke?
If fuel consumption is poor, then your oxygen sensors may be shot, especially if you are blowing black smoke....

something is causing your vehicle fuel mixture to run rich which causes the oxygen sensors to have an excessive build up of carbon which then causes the car to blow black smoke (unburnt fuel), i had the exact same problem with my sedan along with a rough start ended up changing a number of things untill it was sorted out, both oxygen sensors, coolant temp sensor to the ecu, fuel pressure regulator coil packs and finnally a reconditioned ECU which seems to have solved the running rich problem fuel consumption is better but not as good as it could be and the car still starts rough but meh least it dosent blow smoke anymore and use heaps of fuel

Replacing the o2 Sensor????
for changing the O2 sensors, and if non of that helps possibly lay of the LOUD pedal some to improve that 300km per tank fuel usage.
what other mods you got, you haven't put the resistor on the MAF by anychance
