ticking noise

hi all my vr is making a ticking noise but not the lifters u can hear it under the car and wen u put ur head near the left pipe u can hear it sounds like it is comming from inside the motor ,the header was cracked so i thought that was it but i changed it and it still dose it.wen i start up in the morning it is not as loud as wen it gets warm its like a ticking,clak noise i have heard it on many vn,vp,vr but not so many vs, any one got ne ideas

My VR does the exact same thing, thought it was the injectors so I ran some injector cleaner through it but it didnt help at all. Makes my car sound like a &*%& box lol.

i have the same kinda noise in my VS Calais 5.0litre, i was told it was my injectors, but i had a carbon clean done and its still there, looks like its the lifters, gotta save a few hundred more and then in gonna get some yella terra lifters, should add about 20 - 25 rear wheel kws.

If your injectors are ticking, its normal. Means it works

mine is louder than usual, i can hear it from in the car, unlike my mates VS SS his is silent in the car but when you lift the bonnet you can hear them.

Ye when you lift the bonnet you should hear it, I think I know that ticking, does it come from the under the car near the trans?
