I could be wrong, but they dont look like they have the reflective Red bit in them, which would then render them illegal under the ADR code. Check with your local DMV about ADR 13 and ADR 47.

Correct. If they dont have the red reflector they are illegal. Go over to the ask the copper thread near the bottom (page 57)they cover this issue.

the idea that interests me though is i know a white light backwards ( apart from reversing light or license plate light ) is illegal but what if you got a stick on red reflecter to cover up the white one?

that way, no white reflect, you get the red reflect.

I have those lights fitted to my VS, and at the present time havent had any probs so far, admittantly havent had any cops following me yet

I sat behind a BMW 350i at the lights yesterday, and their tail lights are all clear.. i noticed a small rectangle which looked like a reflector, white in color, in the tail lights. i know they have a 2 red reflectors in the bumper bar.. Can anyone verify that it is a reflector or has anyone sat behind one at night?

totally agree but it looked like it had clear ones in the light as well.. i wasnt directly behind it, so i could be wrong..

well I've seen a car with them, so they might be...
an option for you is to mold some red reflective stripping into the rear bar
