buy injector cleaner from super cheap, fill your tank up with petrol and put the cleaner in there, by the time your tanks empty they should be clean.
    We got rep back, yaaay!

I know that with a Jaguar series 3 XJ6 (70's technology), you can remove the injectors, soak in straight Techron or other injector cleaner, wait an hour or so, and then run the Techron thru the injectors. To do this you need a fuel pump to pressurise the Techron/cleaner and a 5V power supply to fire the injectors. You run the stuff thru them till you get a nice even spray.
Dunno if anyone has tried this with modern injectors.

I don't know if anyone else has tried this, but I recently purchased a tin of Holden Top End Cleaner, and have started to run this through my tank today. This stuff is meant to clean the injectors, as well as removing carbon, gum and other deposits within the fuel system...

Instructions for it are very specific, you must add it to 38 litres of fuel, and wash down the filler neck afterwards with petrol.

Will be interesting to see how it goes this week, hopefully I will end up with some better economy and smoother power, and of course a nice crisp idle.

Top End Cleaner is available from Holden spare parts, $17 for the tin.
