Hey guys,
Ive currently got a Series 1 Vn V6 Manual. I'm upgrading the engine to a Supersharged one from a VS Calais, my question is: will My current Box, clutch, flywheel bolt straight onto the VS one? or will i need adaprtor plates / or wont it fit at all?
Cheers!
simple answer - no
complex answer - no because the crank on s1 VN's is different. s1VN's have a 6 bolt flywheel, s2VN-VR have 8 bolt
Also, it's been proven on another forum that unless you leave the engine stock (who does with those gems) manual boxes can't take the torque and die.
there was something on the L67 that deemed it unsuitable for manual too, I think it was the dowel holes, but I'm unsure
there was another member (same guy who found the dowel problem) who was doing a T56 conversion, but last I heard, it cost 8k in parts alone, with mates rates

Probably best to talk to "VN Calais 5.0" a member on these forums, he's got a manual Super6 in his Torana...
btw...do you mind if I ask how much you paid for your motor ?
