car wont start

hi all,
today i decided to change head units on my vs. part of the process involved disconnecting the battery. heres my problem.
when i reconnected the battery after it being disconnected for bout three hours the car wouldnt start. i dont know what to do. I tried putting in the radio code but this did not work. it already has an aftermarket pioneer H/U so i dont know if this is why the radio code didnt work.
So can someone please tell me how to get the engine to turn over.i turn the key and all the lights come on but the engine wont turn over.

Didnt leave the tranny in drive did ya..........

Bet he left the key in the ignition in the accessory position listening to his new audio which immobilises the car after 10 or so minutes - you need to press the unlock button on the key head to get it to start.
