reverse switch around gearstick playing up is probably the most likely culprit. give the stick a wiggle while its in reverse and see if the lights come on, i know on mine, i gotta push the stick right down in reverse for lights to work.

Same prob. here. I move bar toward neutral and reverse lights come on. Probably switch needs adj. or someth.

I would like to know too. Mine does it. I'll put it into reverse and the lights don't work, but i pull it down a bit more and it clicks and the lights come on. I looked for the switch under the console but had no idea where it was or what it looked like either. Would be a good how-to thread if someone could do it cos it sounds like a common problem.
