Hmmm the crank angle sensor could be sending the wrong pulse signals to the computer this may be causing it to overheat. Has the angle sensor been replaced recently or been looked at ???
wat is a crank angle sensor? oh and as far as i can see there are no water leaks from the radiator or waterpump
yea i got a vn commy and mine over heats on short trips but if i go o a trip it will sit happy on the 2nd line,if i just cruze round town n stop ya can hear the water bubbling, theres no water leaks n i gotta bit bout half a ltr back in the radiator
Could be blocked radiator core... get your system flushed out and see how you go !

Check if the water pumps leaking
ok. water pumps not leaking. i'm using the temp guage in the dash. flushing it out or replacing the radiator is the next thing. also if i don't use the accelerater overly, the temp stays under half so its quite strange
does sound like a blocked radiator core

yeh went and got another radiator today. put it in. seems to have done the trick. we'll just w8 and see
i had the same prob with my vs II Calais. temp rose stupidly while driving. replaced the thermostat, no effect, took it in, flushed, didnt work, took it back, asked them 2 look again, put filler in the system. now my cuz tells me that'll be there permanently and not real way to solve it. S@#t!!!!! works fine now except at real slow speeds or idling. will overheat if i leave it, never tried it tho

I couldn't find the remote control to the remote control.
Yeah my car gets about 3 quarters on the temp gauge if I'm stuck in traffic.
My beast overheated this morning.. And it took nearly 2 litres of water into the radiator... Must be a leak in my water pump gasket as there's coolant residue there.
