Default Valley cover gasket (with pics)

Appears that ive got a bit of an oil leak around the valley cover, was going to pull it off and replace the gasket. Any 1 got any tips or tricks?

    Looks like a straightforward job.

try tightning all the bolts first and see if that does the job before you pull it apart

Not really any traps, just make sure you mark all hoses and electrical leads so you know exactly where to put them back when it comes time. Also, make sure you try and keep everything as clean as poissible.

If you're unsure about doing anything, go and buy a workshop manual before you start. $40 well spent and it could save you a few bucks down the track.

Are you noticing leaks from the front or rear... if oil is between the heads and manifold then it's most likely just the rocker covers leaking.

Righto, yeah had oil leaks from the front n rear of the inlet manifold and also the rocker covers as well. So replaced the valley cover gaskets and also the rocker cover gaskets. Gave the inlet manifold a full on clean with like 3 tins of carb cleaner. Basically soaked it then gernied it.... Inside was just black as with carbon n crap. The TB was still clean from when i cleaned it a while ago. Changed the oil and filter this morn and topped up the coolant. No real dramas, gave the engine and bay a full degrease this arv.
