hey guys,
yet another problem with my car...its got a squeaky clutch pedal...but it only makes a noise once the cars been running for a while and the clutch has obviously heated up...some mates told me it might need lubricating on either side of the 'firewall'.. they were drunk at the time so i wasnt sure to trust them lol...i fear that the pedal cable might snap when im driving and that i might not have a clutch :S
if anyone knows the problems or a fix id appreciate it.
cheers, dan
could be your throw-out bearing. i know they squeal when they wear a bit
how hard is it to replace something like that?
Woohaa! God damn i love HOLDENS!!
clutch cables can be lubricated. i've now broken 3 (different cars)over the years and they sqweek more and more and get harder to push down and then one day i hit the clutch and bang, gone. me sitting at the lights with no clutch....... shite does build up in em over time. i find that removing them from the vehicle and then puting in something like kerosene and working the cable and you will see all the shite thats in there. then dry, i use an airhose and then I.P.A alcohol to give it a good final clean and then put some graphite powder(dry lube) down it and all is good.
