Error Code 27 ??

Im getting error code 27 on my vr v6 auto along with error 75
ive triple checked the codes and i cannot find wot error 27 is.

Code 75 - System Voltage Low - Auto Transmission Only
Code 27 - ???????


Help Plz :s

(by the way alternator is **** itself so mite have to do with that not sure)

ok thanks for that, any idea how to fix?, asi have recently got a second hand gearbox fitted..

normally its the wiring harness in the trans, but it could be the PSA at fault
i dont have the diags here, someone may have a genuine workshop manual to copy it from.
i found it in a file on my puter.lol

omg :( thanks, ill jack here up an check the wiring as i dont wonna spend any more on transmission stuff lol, is the PSA a big job?

its the valve assembly, not a huge job but the pan has to come off either way.

ok not a big job, that sounds good :), is this a fault that the auto shop could have caused fitting a gearbox? the gearbox was a second hand one i picked up. i owe the auto shop money still so yea.. :(

Wouldn't the first course of action be to replace the buggered alternator - it is probably giving an erratic charge rate which can trigger all sorts of faults.
From what I've seen, fault codes are merely a hint....not a definite fault locater.
Damaged wiring would be apparent from when it was damaged...not some time later IMHO.
