Question vr calais check light on trans slipping under revs

I have a 94 calais when your on the open road the check light comes on, when I plant the petal to the floor, you can feel the trans slip alittle, the trans seems over wise find, and around town the check light stays off.

Can anyone help with advice here please

As tysons_2001 says, check error codes. If your engine warning light is coming on, the computer will register an error code. Pull the code and you should have a good idea of your problem.

And I'd do a fluid level check on the auto trans - if its low it will slip and create error codes.
