Alternator Help

Alt has sh*t it self and I want to upgrade it was wondering if there is a heavy duty alt for the VS V6 and where could I get one.

What do you mean by heavy duty? Higher current output? Whats the reason?

A sneaky way to increase the alt output at low revs is to put a smaller diameter pulley in....though it will fail at high revs but some people who tow caravans go this way.
What is the actual problelm with the alt???

just with the extra lights and stuff just wanted to get a higher amp alternator to cope with the load

Thats pretty terminal and new brushes sure wouldn't fix it! Maybe later model higher output Commo alts will fit...wreckers usually know (and charge accordingly).
