I want to do a coolant flush on my VS V6, now I know that all you do is disconnect the bottom hose, let it drain out, and then fill up again I just don't know how to go about bleeding the air out of the system as I refill and any other important steps when doing the flush. Thanks.

to bleed the air out just connect everything back up, but leave the radiator cap off. then start the car and turn the heater on, watch the level of coolant at the radiator and if needed top up the coolant.
once it all seems settled turn off the car and put the radiator cap back on and your done.

What about the Brass Air bleed screw in the middle of the "V" near the Top?
Or will all the air 'flush' out via the Radiator Cap.

I'd best do my Coolant soon.

Anyone know the answer to this? What about the bleed screw on top of the thermostat, do you use that at all?

When you flush it, its advisable to take the thermostat out and flush the block separately from the radiator. Much quicker too. The bleed screw can be used if you want to. Just undo it a bit put the radiator cap on when its full and wait til coolant comes out in a steady stream. But generally, just leave the cap off until its up to operating temperature and you see the coolant start moving, you know the thermostat has opened then and no air is present.

How important is it to use disstilled water instead of just normal tap water?

depends...how much to you care about your car?
tap water is fine, but it will have impurities and minerals in it which could rust/damage your cooling system and in turn your engine and thats why distilled water is recommended.

i'd use the brass screw at the top above the thermostat, as it's at the highest point it's the best place to bleed the air in the system out. when doingthis make sure you get the engine up to full operatin temp so the thermostat opens and the coolant is fully circulating through the system etc

Distilled water is so cheap anyway, and you can even get it from coles/woolies. Just stops any of those minerals getting in there and doing something funny. No problem to flush the radiator with tap water though.
