hi guys thought id put in my 2 cents worth here on the
engine check light problem
i have a vt hsv clubsport r8 a lemon i beleive is what they call them
i have just about rebuilt this car trying to fix the engine check light. i have had it into about 7 mechanics and 3 auto electricians. theyve all had a stab at it using the computers.
each time they put the scanner on it brings up codes they then change those parts clear out the old codes i got home a few days later another code and so it has gone on now for 12 months and ive spent 10.000 trying to fix it.
ive replace oil sensor, oxygen sensors relays map sensor starter motor alternator condensors all airconditioning had excess wiring taken out of car ( tracking devices and old imobilizer )
ive had front seal done rear main seal just recentrly , diff, cvs radiator pulleys hoses belts ive changed the exhaust put pacemakers on with good exhaust ive flushed it with injector cleaner
and i still have the engine check light coming on......

I'd try another ECU....or check just what items will turn the engine light on (maybe Brett will know as he has a Tech1) which I think don't include most of the items you mention you've replaced. From my limited experience, most engine light faults are caused by transmission - either actual problems or poor wiring connector faults.

I had something similar. The TPS was one for a lexan VS V6, not a Commodore VS V6. Engine light would turn on and off. Not to mention an absolute bitch to drive.
