The site is ok, but nothing compared to here. There is nothing there that we havnt covered. Having a quick read, I did notice a few comments that werent accurate. ie "When the wire gets a chance to cool down all of a sudden the charge that is stored in the alternator and the wire will get through to the battery". The alternator can store charge in the form of a magnetic field, but its really nothing. Certinally not enough to charge a battery.

"The basic problem is that the pins should be gold plated to prevent corrosion but they aren't to cut 10c off the production price for Holden. The WD makes an oil film to keep oxygen out."

Thats a load of crap. The pins dont need to be gold plated at all, I dont recommend WD40 on electrical connections, contact cleaner is a much better option, and there is nothing wrong with oxygen on those connectors.

I spose this site is alright, the fella has put alot of work into it, does list all the models, although not a great detail on repairs. http://au.geocities.com/commodoretech/modelfaults.html

47 is the notorious CAS problem. Doesnt sound like the temp sensor in the alternator anymore. I will go into more detail in your other post.
