Ok, im gunna wind up replacing my Auto at some stage soon, ive noticed there is an oil leak from the rear of the engine. Ive already replaced the valley cover gaskets and rocker cover gaskets. Its not power steering fluid or auto fluid. Its engine oil.
So are there any tricks in replacing the rear main seal once ive got my box out?
Jumping Commodores is the right thing to do... Flex is a good thing.
yeh see if you can borrow the proper aligning tools form holden otherwise you will probably make an even bigger leak from misalignment.....holden has revised their rear main seal and flipped it round the other way. it needs to be pressed out so the housing can be aligned and then fitted back in after the housing and sump is aligned
So in other words.... deal with the leak.... I highly doubt a dealership will lend out tools to a stranger.... Have they changed the new replacement rear main seal?
