Take it back and ask why the light is on!!! Demand them to fix it properly.

You know, few dealers just don't want to deal with older model cars. They asked $850 to fix my passenger side airbag cover!!! (It was peeling off) I told them to f*ck off.
Why that price - they don't want to work on my VS so put ridiculous price to shoo me away! ( Their method did work, I never came back)

Definately take it back to the dealer and demand an explanation. They have the equipment to check the SRS system and determine what the problem is. In my view they shouldn't charge you this time either, as they didn't fix the problem properly in the first place...

They should have told you what caused it to come on in the first place otherwise just resetting the self check system achieves nothing. I'd take it back and see what they say.

you are better off asking politely what the code is & why they have not fixed it, stomping in demanding things wont get you anywhere.

once you find out the code you will be able to find out what is causing it.

If that is their attitude, I would be taking to a different dealer and having a chat with them. I agree with the above comments of not going in there all hot headed, but they should atleast be able to tell you what the problem is.

I got my alarm installed on my car the other day and now the airbag light is now constantly on as well. Looks like I might have to look into what's wrong.

More than likely you will just need it to be reset. You will often get that fault if you dont disconnect the battery before doing certain electrical work. Just make sure the yellow connector under the steering column is connected and all fuses are good. Otherwise, off to Holden for you.

You really don't need to go to Holdens to get the airbag light reset - most auto elecs and many repair places now have scan tools and are sometimes cheaper and friendlier.

What can be done about the passenger side airbag cover peeling off, can you buy a replacement and if so from where and how much would it cost

Been covered many times before on this forum, about $150 for the part from Holden, plus installation. As a few people have found out on this forum, sometimes GMH just quote a ridiculous price as they dont want the job. Any competent mechanic should be able replace the pad though.
