i am thinking of dressing the motor up a bit 1st thing i want to do is either polish or paint the manifold has anyone done this and have pics
what products would be best to use?
I'm in the process of polishing the inside of my inlet manifold on my eco-tec to gain power it is so long of a process by the time you sand it all back flat to get rid of casting faults, then sand it with 1200 grit to get it dead smooth then polish it, i'm denfently not doing the out side now i will paint it.

Remember you need to still create some turbulence in the inlet manifold for the oxygen to mix with the fuel properly.
hey I was just wondering though, did you remove the inlet manifold to do this, or have you blocked the ports with cotton wool or something to stop the crap going in ?
yes you need to block the ports would be better, because I remember someone on this forum dropped a nut down there!!! (Lucky that valve was closed!)
I went to the wreckers an brought a complete new manifold and plenum chamber for $50, only thing cost me another $150 to get it drilled an set up for my gas injectors for the squentual vapour injection system, but atleast my vehicle wasn't off the road in the process of doing it, because it's taking ages.

i think he was getting to the point that it mightn't be a bad idea to get another manifold so the car isn't off the road for long
