Oil in the cooling system?

Just been going over the car, Noticed that there's evidence of oil in the cooling system (brown oily sludge on the bottom of the radiator cap)
Auto trans oil is good and clean....Engine oil looks good and clean too.

I suspect a minor pressurised oil leak into the cooling system from somewhere.Thinking about the timing cover area where the pressurised oil goes back into the block and it's a bit close to a water inlet on one side. Never pulled an Ecotec apart so hoping for some clues guys.

It's a VS 1995 with 210,000k, has not missed a beat, uses 1 litre of oil every 5,000k so still reasonably good for the age.

thanks'

heh. its probably nothing more than residue left over from the pellets holden use to flush the colling system or simply due to old/mixed coolant/s. Change the coolant and flush the system before getting yourself worried over nothing :)
