Fe2 suspension, which is lower than normal suspension as standerd.
    Body kit,
bigger front brakes, they usally get the v8 braking package.
Factory Mags - think they were 16"

Thats about all i can think of, they had the same options as the rest of the commies, power windows, air bags, abs etc...

    According to the brochure (Series I only), it has (over the Exec.);

    FE2 Suspension
    15" alloys
Black grille with red leading edge
    Front side & rear skirts
    Rear deck spoiler (lip type)
"Dolby noise reduction, separate bass & treble control, program search, metal tape equalisation"
    CD input socket
Full cloth trim (with sports design)
    Lumbar support adjustable passenger seat
Air conditioning with rear outlet vents (was an accessory in Exec.)
    Passenger side vanity mirror

    That's it.

    Hope this helps.

    The S got 15 x 7 wheels standard (exec etc had 15 x 6)
By VPII the 6 got the bigger brakes of the 8, and this carried thru to the VS.

The S got the same trim material as the SS, but on exec seats (with the lumbar on both).

Aircon was standard (and cruise on autos).

The stereo was the slightly better than stock exec one (until S2 when exec got the same).

The tail lights have the clear blinker sections of the berlina/calais.

The boot garnish is painted body colour.

VR S, and VR & VS SS had a wide red rubbing strip.
The VS S was unique with the narrow red stripe between 2 black strips that make up the rubbing strip.

I'd say $9000 would be about right. I've had my VS 2 S (auto) for 8 & 1/2 years now (done 134,000km, but still dead stock), and I wouldn't even ask that if I was to sell it!!

Oh - the series 2 got the crappy getrag box (and hydraulic clutch) - but the series 1 still had the T5.

    Default 5 speed

Just in regard to the comment crappy 5 speed, The gtrag is a much stronger gearbox then the T5 and can handle a lot more power going through it!

    Hey Guys,

I just purchased myself a 5 speed VS "S". Has 7 months rego, VT SS Wheels (New Tyres), SS Front Bar with Driving Lights, Full 2.5 inch exhaust and a Kenwood Stereo. It's got 115,000 kms with Full Service History and is immaculate inside and out. Got it for $11,000

I think I did pretty well.

Ended up with $4,200 in my pocket from my old VN Calais. Was mechanically fine but had 240,000kms and the paintwork was rooted. Was straight though.

V6 or V8? There's a big market demand for such a car : ). My brothers is similar it's a white V8 Executive + FE2 + 5 speed (nope amazingly it's not an ex inteceptor) with 80,000ks and he had to pay 17 grand to secure his, there were plenty of interested buyers around in my town at that price. He got 4 grand for his s pack V6 VP (160,000ks) on the trade, I think it was worth more and that he should have traded my VN instead but oh well.

Oh yeah, he's going to trade it in on gen III VX manual one of these days in case anyone of here would like the VS (still has 80 something thousand ks on it)

    greenfoam,

It's an 'S' so its a V6. A VS SS with 80Kms on it should pull up around 18-20 grand I'd think if it was in good nick.

Just put a K & N Box Filter ($70 on eBay) and a genuine Holden Cold Air Intake ($48 on eBay) in it too. Makes a good improvement. But I've been told that if your car is a bit run down and needs a service it won't do much.

I agree spac. My old calais was an auto. Just not the same experience of driving when you're not changing gears.
