I have a 94 VR Acclaim with IRS. A while ago I hit a chunk of steel on the road that I could not avoid. It went under the car and hit so hard it lifted the rear end a put my slightly sideways. Now when I go around left hand corners, there is a knocking noise from my rear left hand side. It gets louder the harder I go around the corner. Only happens on the left hand corners. Could the steel have stuff the CV joint in the rear end?? Thats what it sounds like but just want to know what other VR IRS drivers think. Any help is much appriciated.![]()
Cheers

The exhaust runs under the axle pretty close to the CV so check that, it may have bent the exhaust up a bit so when you corner the LH axle drops down a bit and could be hitting the exhaust.
Hmmm, I will get under there with all the redbacks and check it out. I hope it is something as simple as that. Cheers
