Vr Central Locking Issue

Hey Guys, I Was Hoping Someone Here Could Help Me Find Out Whats Wrong With My Central Locking.
When Using The Key The Indicators Will Flash But The Doors Will Not Lock, I Have To Lock Every Door Individually... It Does This For A Few Days Then It Will Start Working Like Normal Again..... Any Ideas On What Could Be Causing It Or Hoew To Fix It?

I had a similar thing with my car a while back, and it turned out that the front passengers side lock was catching on somthing, once it was free the problem was gone. It could also be the key if it is old.

checked all door locks, none of them catching and its a newish key

Havent had this problem myself, but I will suggest something to try. The doors wont lock if the drivers door doesnt lock. Try this:

When the car is playing up, hop in the car, put your finger on the drivers door lock button, but dont press it down, just put a bit of pressure on it. Use the remote and press the button, when the doors go to lock, just assist the drivers door lock by putting that little bit of pressure on it.

I am having a bit of a guess that the drivers door locking mech is intermittent. If that doesnt lock, it wont let the other doors lock.
