the fuel economy is 10 litres to a 100km round town and 5 litres on the highway running 98 Octane
HoZy if you are having fuel economy problems remove the injectors and have them flow rate tested.
The reason I say this I've done a Ecotec transplant into my Vr Ute and when I first fired it up three injectors were part blocked, after cleaning and flow tested they were OK and the open road economy was 10ltrs/100km.
Just on 12 months later while doing some work on the headers I noticed the left bank plugs were dark and the right bank were leaner, checked the codes (Vs ECU) and I had "76" Shot Term Fuel Trim unbalance. I had the injectors tested and the 5th cylinder was 25% lean, so the o2 sensor reads this as a lean average and pumps more fuel to the left bank.
None of this problem brings up an ECU light.
I've since replaced all the injectors with new ones as I've found the 0280155777's used in the later Ecotecs don't take to cleaning very well, now the open road economy is 8ltrs/100km.

m8, what type of car is it, a puegot 307? 5L/100K is not feasable for a holden, idd take another look at those figures.
But mine, VR 5.0L 5spd Ute Mostly std, HSV Chip, CAI, Extractors.
65L tank? regular unleaded, 590Kays to a tank on the highway, and about (i havent tested it) but i think about 4-450 around town if im not floggin it
So that is 10.66L/100K, 9.38 K/Liter and 26.51mpg

On the highway I would expect allot more.
VS V6
59ltr tank, only mods are K&N (very dirty) and holden CAI. average 400-450km (91 octane) to a tank but thats mixed city highway but with lots off traffic. open road it gets 700 easy per tank. just cleaned the air filter so hopefully things will get a little better.
