OK so im guessing that the key goes in the ignition barrel but doesnt turn.
Here is a trick put the key in the ignition get a get a spanner or small hammer, something with a bit of weight in the end of it and just firmly tap on the a couple of times on the end of the key, then turn.

Worked didnt it, time for a new ignition barrel. You will find one of the pins in the barrel is getting stuck.

get RACQ ( thats what u guys got up there right? ) to come out they'll disassemble it so you can turn it but get it fixed properly soon because when they do it its REAL easy to get it started.

Cost me $53.90 for a new barrel on my VS, but I could still turn it, just was getting stuck, a piece on the end broke off and was jamming it. Without being able to turn it, you will have to take the assembly off the column. Not an easy task. There is a how to here somewhere, have a look in that section. Or you could call a locksmith.....

Getting the new one in is real easy too. as long as you dont leave it for a coupla weeks and forget how it came apart
