Hi,
i have been having trouble with my engine since i washed it about 2 months ago.

i had posted a thread about this before but it has been lost, but you get that.

anyway i have reset the computer and cheacked the errors by bridging the number 5 and 6 pins in the connecter under the steering wheel. the codes it gave me were

12, which i was told was normal
59
67
73
82
83

If anyone could tell me what these are that would be a big help.

and also this was an auto with the auto computer in it still but it wasnt a problem till i washed it.

Code 59 - Transmission Fluid Temperature - Auto Transmission Only
Code 67 - TCC ON - OFF Solenoid Control Fault - Auto Transmission Only
Code 73 - Pressure Control Solenoid Current - Auto Transmission Only
Code 82 - 1 - 2 Shift Control Solenoid Fault - Auto Transmission Only
Code 83 - Torque Converter Clutch Circuit - Auto Transmission Only

these are your code meanings hope this helps, i have now relisted all codes and meanings for VS V6 in this area too.

sweet as thats what i needed.

not good but as these codes are only todo with the auto which is no longer in there.

it must be a problem with the coil packs, spark plugs or leads.

any way of testing these things

Wouldnt think it would have anything to do with the plugs leads or coil pack. If the auto is no longer in there and computer hasnt been setup properly to match, the codes are likely caused by this.

I don't think he is too worried about the codes, rather the problem he is having since he washed it. Which he hasn't actually stated.

sorry yeah i did write it before the servers went down and couldnt be bother the other day.

the engine miss fires and struggles to accelerate doesnt matter if it is hot or cold still plays up, after about 2500rpm it goes a bit better but after 3500rpm it get worse. but if you slowly accelerate once you manage to take off its not as bad. i thought it might have been the holes in my exhust but i have recently had a 2.5 inch all the way through and extracters with a high flow cat. but still not running right.

seriously getting on my nerves.

Water may have gotten into the connections for your DFI. Take every lead off the coil, blow them out with compressed air and do the same with the DFI connections. Or the coil packs and/or DFI may have crapped themselves. Do you have access to anyone elses VP/VR/VS? try swapping the coil packs and DFI onto yours and give it a run.

yeah i will give that a try. it wont be the leads on the coil as i have changed the leads and spark plugs since then.
