Hey all
need of some assistance pls. i have just bought a new pioneer headunit for the VS, but rather than chop the wiring up, i thought i'd invest in the iso wiring harnesses.
Here's the problem. its a 96 VS2 Calais, but the VR-Vs Aerpro APP061 harness i bought doesn't connect to teh standard existing plug, the white piece that the original headunit connected to. It isnt long enough, about 10mm short longways. when i enquired about it, the store tried a VT harness, which fit to about halfway, but wouldn't go any further or clip in. The VN-VP wouldn't fit at all.
Was there any difference between say a statesman/calais and an executive? has anyone experienced this problem?
Also, i was told i needed to buy another adapter for between this harness and the new Pioneer deck. Again, is this true?
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks everyone

hey guys quick update
found out i needed a VT harness, and wired up the new headunit.
Now i have the problem of the unit not turning on when ignition is on. fuse was replaced, but we have a Dash Light Illumination wire and an Auto Antenna wire in the harness with nothing to connect them to. The head unit (pioneer) has a system remote control piece coming from it.
HELP, what should i do?

PIN 8 ....... Lt. Brown ................. LHF speakers
PIN 9 ....... (vacant)
PIN 10 ..... Yellow / Red trace ...... Pwr aerial (radio on)
PIN 11 ..... Brown / White trace .... Illumination (park lamps circuit)
PIN 12 ..... White ....................... Pwr aerial (up?)
PIN 13 ..... Black / White trace ..... Electronic Ground
PIN 14 ..... Lt. Blue .................... Pwr aerial (down?)
