I've just recently been having problems with the central locking in my VR Executive Commodore.
When I bought it s/h, the original owner told me that the back left passenger doors lock hadn't responded to the keyless entry and now recently the back right passenger door also doesn't respond to the keyless entry.
I can open both front doors with keyless entry but none of the back ones. There are a few times when I use the keyless entry to lock the car and the drivers side door lock goes half way down then springs back up again.
Basically, I just want all 4 doors to work with the keyless entry.
Any help would be great.
Sounds like the actuators are on the way out. Try replacing one of the rear ones with a known working one and if it works replace the rest. Also, you could lubricate the moving parts too cos they maybe too stiff for the actuator to move.
VR's are known for the connectors falling off the central locking motors in the back doors. I had a similar problem which might explain the back left door at least.
Thanks for your help.. I'll give that a try.
Try a bit of wd-40 on the lock first. Free fix and it has worked for me.
