is it as easy to put a mini spool in a irs diff as it is with a solid and can u use the same spool
yeah the spools are the same and it is easier to do it in an IRS car, just undo the two cv shafts from the diff and hang them out the way, then support the diff with a jack, drain it and remove the rear cover (which holds the diff to the chassis, that's why you support it so it doesnt drop down) then knock the axels out, and undo the two side caps, they screw in so tou just need to make a tool to slot in the notches to unscrew it. NOW IT IS IMPORTANT TO COUNT THE TURNS EXACTLY UNTIL THE CAPS ARE FULLY OUT, then pull the diff centre out and pull to bits and remove the gears and fit the spool, reassemble it, then fit it back in, MAKING SURE YOU SCREW THE CAPS IN TO EXACTLY WHERE THEY WERE, then put it all back in reverse order and fill it up with oil and go do some circles.
ok well i am putn a spool in my car i all ways thort thay wer very hard to park but i drove one and there not tnxs for that
nah, you barely know they are there. but one strange thing is when you put your car in Drive (if it's auto) or even in a manual if it is in Nuetral, and the car is rolling and the steering wheel is turned 3/4 or more to full lock, the car stops and wont move until you apply enough power to skip the inner wheel, funny i rekon.
yeh i felt that when i drove the car
