does any one know why the electronic panel in my calais has a mind of its own?
it will swith on around five minutes or so after i start the car, although it can be swithed off and on once it has decided to firstly turn on , but if i turn off the car it takes its own time to decide to switch on again.

yeh mine has the same issue...VS stato sII

im thinking its a dud relay, but havent had time to properly investigate it, i took the relay out for the climate control and tapped it hard a few times and put back in and it behaved for a few days, but its back again

if anyone else can shed light on this issue that would be brilliant

This was talked about about a year or so ago.....might be worth having a look!! I'm sure the problem was found.

Yep, it's a relay. Not the ac one though. When looking at the relays from front, it's the one two away to the right from ac relay. That one feeds the power to the ac one. I forget the name but it also is linked to the thermo fans. That's VR/VS only I think. To save buying one and as a quick check, remove the horn one and swap it.
