Default memcal for vr

i have a manual vr, although it has a manual vp ecu in it.
i am looking at upgrading the memcal to the SV3800, will this run fine in it? and will i need a manual chip?

The ecu's are the same untill you want to get data out of one. But it's fine really and yep the sv3800 tune will run like a champion on a VR motor, get the later one (ASBY)

it doesnt matter if its manual or auto does it?
