I have a series 2 94 VR Calias 3.8 ltr that has started to idle to high. The problem started after cleaning the engine, it used to sit on 900 rpm but now sits at 1100-1200 rpm amd will suddenly kick up to 2000 rpm then drop back for no reason. Any help would be great cause its giving me the :b: Oh yeah ive cleaned the TB, reset the comp & checked the mapping sensor, and still nothing. If you can help..
Cheers!!!

when you say cleaning the engine, you mean degreaser/high pressure on the engine bay right?
Have you checked the AFM and all the connections you can see? Sounds like something could be loose or shorted/ing
When you cleaned the throttle body you didn't remove it did u?
Sounds like it could be a vaccuum leak.
had a similar problem with my F100 & it turned out to be the throttle position sensor.
Dont know much about the commodore efi system but hope this helps
