Cool VS Wagon Info Please!!

G'day guys .. im just new to this site and just wanted to come on here to get some pointers and stuff ..... I have a white VS S2 Wagon and have tinted my tail lights pretty dark (blackish with night shades and my side indicators) -still no trouble with the 5-0 as yet!!! also put some 18's on it debadged it completely took all the trimming off the sides etc

(there is still this glue stuff on the sides that I cannot get off and have tried absolutley everything!!!! Any Ideas ???? Or do I need to go to a detailer?

I am in the process of looking for prices for tinting and lowering it!

Any info about good priced tint shops around Hornsby area? Also lowering I have been quoted $1580 by pedders which I rekon was way to expense!! Couldnt I nearly airbag it for that much?

Will try and upload some photos soon.

Any help would be much appreciated guys!! Cheers

The best way to remove the glue left by removing the side strips is to use a caramel wheel.

Sorry I should have explained it. A caramel wheel or eraser wheel as they are also called are used in a drill to remove glue or sticky residue left from badges / stickers etc. They are made of a rubber compound and look like this:

Caramel Wheels can be hard to find. Your best chance of finding one is at a bodywork supply store, you could also go to an automotive spray painter / panel beater and ask if you can buy one because most automotive shops like repco or autobarn wont stock them. When using the caramel wheel be extremely carefully not to hold it in one spot for to long because you will burn the paint.

Years ago i had to remove a heap of stickers off a company ute. Now this will sound bad but the best we found to rid of the glue was wd40. Dont know why but it removed it all. Also i found bug and tar remover to be really good too.

The wagon sounds nice. I too have a white vs wagon. Post some pics up of it.

Good Luck !!!

speaking of WD40 its the best stuff for getting the black windscreen sealer off the car and off you hands.....found that out by accident when stripping a car once....cut the screens out and got the black sh%t everywhere then was spraying WD on some bolts and realised it was bringing off the black stuff
