New wheels to fit a VS Acclaim sedan (eg VY16" or VZ 17")

I have a VS Acclaim sedan with stock 205/65 15 wheels and tyres.

As the tyres need to be replaced, I thought it would be a good time to upgrade the wheels as well.

I have seen a few on ebay (VY and VZ alloys with good tyres) but am not sure if they will be OK on the VS.

Apparently the stud pattern is the same, but I gather there are differences with the hub size and wheel offset. Not sure if these differences are significant.

I don't want to buy them off ebay and then find they don't fit or will affect insurance.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Should be fine mate. Im running 18" VY SS rims on my VR wagon, only time you might have issues is if your trying to run 19/20"s on ultra low suspension

any commodore wheels are interchangable from VB-VZ with no problem. the VE wheels will also fit but not safely.

The Hub and offset you talk about won't affect VT-VZ 15-18" wheels on a VS.
Only 19 + 20" wheels sometimes cause problems.
Although the Hub size is different (front only) for the brake discs between VN-S (70mm)to the VT-Z (71.5mm), the part the wheel sits on is the same 70mm for both cars.
VS wheels have a 43P offset standard and 40P offset for HSV 8" wide wheels.
VT-VZ wheels all have a 48P offset and all fit fine.
