There used to be disovable pellets around that you droped in ya tank tried them once a little difference in K`s per tank, though all I forked out was $4.00 these guys want $299 for the 3L engine and below so I`d give it a miss.
If you want better fuel economy try A K&N filter $80 and CAI $50 at least you know they will work for less than half the price.

If you read the report it quotes figures obtained by the Taipei Medical University in 1996 - thats in Taiwan. Why is a medical university in Taiwan testing fuel saving devices? Then think to yourself if it works why aren't the government or carmakers or oil companies using it. Do your own research and check:

SCAM!!! I have seen and heard them all working at different petrol stations and workshops over the years. The only way to save money is sell the car and walk or falling that keep it serviced and not a V8. And easy on the gas driving around

If they are so amazing then why aren't they included in new cars... I forgot the exact figures but something like 99 or 99.5% of fuel is burnt in the engine, so how the hell is this going to make it 'more efficient' than 99%... The reminds me of a review on an electric supercharger which is 2 80mm pc fans which when turned on create a 'faint breeze' and supposedly gave like 10 or 20% gains in performance. HAHAHAHA. Bull****. I hate this crap. People who say it works are only feeling placebo, for example the buy this then they use results from ONE tank and they drive like a grandma and get better efficiency so they say it works.

    Excessive fuel consumption?

Excessive accelrating and braking, revise driving habits.

I love that point in the workshop manual.

Get your mum to drive your car for a week cause when I went to Queensland she drove it and before I was getting 300km a tank and when I got back it's now doing 400-450km a tank.

i guess that fuel consumption is something that needs to be accepted by owners of large/heavy cars with larger engines, be it v6 or v8. Especially owners who live in suburban areas, fuel consumption is going to be alot higher than highway drivers.

I am lucky, i live on highway roads, and my car is serviced regularly. So i can get 600kms out of a v6 commo. But this also means that i need to drive further to get places. lol

Fuel consumption will not magically be resolved by putting a few gadgets on your car. The thing that has saved me the most on fuel has been a remap memcal for premium and revised lean cruise.
Driving style has a major play in it too.
