Hi i just got a VS Commodore i have have a brake/tail light problem.
Now on the twin element globe my brake lights works on the tail light filament so when i have parkers on there no brake lights?
tails lights are lit up but as soon as i brake every thing goes out except my eye level?
Do you rekn this could b tail light wiring loom?
Thanks Damo
I'd be checking the earths. Make sure each globe socket is clean and dry. From factory they have grease in them, this can get dirty and not make proper earth contact.
Also check the correct bulbs have been used and they are inserted correctly....I've seen single filament bulbs used or twin filament types forced into the holder.
Thanks Not_An_Abba_Fan and Hako for your help,
I thought id stop past my wreakers and borrow 2 tail light looms and i plugged them and on problem solved my looms were faulty, But i found sumthnig interesting my LH tail light loom was causing my eye level brake light to light up dim when parkers were on, so thats a werid one hey.
Hopefuly this might help ppl out in the future.
"my problem was brake light was light up tail globe filament, so when parkers were on and brake applyied all tail lghts went out" Faulty looms cause this.
Thanks all Damo
