    Default sensors

Hey all, quick question, I’m almost 100% sure that one of my sensors is going because the electrical warning light comes on while driving around it happens about 2 times in 500k and i cleaned the battery terminals re crimped the alternator positive (not sure if that would do jack) and i am pretty sure its not the maf or sensor on the airbox because she is idling fine i was thinking maybe there s the o2 exhaust or somthing something quick and easy to change
i have though about taking it in to put it on the computer but it happens so rarely and in inopportune times and I’m pretty sure they have to turn the car off to hook her up which resets the sensor anyway so it works fine again
    any info would be appreciated
    its a chiped vs 3.8

If the battery warning light is coming on intermittently it's most likely to be worn brushes on the voltage regulator (or even a faulty regulator). When that light is coming on the alternator is no longer recharging your battery. To fix it disconnect the battery (very important!!), remove the alternator and then unscrew the regulator from the rear of the alternator. Check your brush length - from memory 4mm is the minimum travel allowed. Mine started failing at only 7mm but it's a simple and cheap fix to eliminate.

    Mark.

if you can use a soldering iron you can replace the brushes in your old regulator this will save you alot of money i was told by sprint auto it couldnt be done but i did this in my VR the cost for a new regulator was $35 but i bought the brushes only for $6.50 a huge saving the part number is GB610 and there bosch hope this helps
