cat back exhaust?

I am looking at different exhaust systems.

I have a stock v6 atm, but am going to cam and spring, also memcal, port polish etc.

Will be fitting extractors.

Will a 2.5inch cat back mandrel exhaust be suffice maybe with an ss cat.

Could I go maybe 2 3/4 inch.

Also it has been suggested that I install a straight thru mandrel bent and "back cat"
No muffler no resi.

What does everyone reckon?

Also, maybe a smaller diameter twin exhaust with balance pipe?

I am very open to suggestion.

A str8 through pipe (no muf no res) will sound like **** on a V6.

I agree with Classifi3d Calais, just doesnt sound right on the 6's

I had a Vr for a while and ran a set of pacemaker extractors with 2 1/2" exhaust, stock cat and I was pretty impressed with the sound, sounded much lumpier and tougher than my Vx with a similar setup. Id prob suggest against HM as they sound a bit tinny.
