Reversing camera

I've just bought one of the above and fitted it below the rear skirt - I'm not happy with it in this position and wonder if anyone has fitted one in a position that they are happy with.
What I want from mine is warning of kids/bikes/dogs etc under/near the back of the car and also as an aid to reversing and judging distances to other cars.

how about attatching it somehow to the middle of that panel where the number plate lights are on?
